Ignoring the issue of child neglect and abuse and most importantly child abuse prevention has been costly. In fact, in a 2001 study done by Prevent Child Abuse America, the total direct annual cost of child abuse and neglect has been estimated to be over $24 billion.

Growing up in a violent home can have harmful – even devastating – consequences. It often leads to violence later in life, and health and other problems.
There are strong connections between domestic violence, child abuse and youth violence. As many
as half of men who abuse their wives also abuse their children, and those children are at risk for becoming victims or perpetrators of violence.
DOING NOTHING ALLOWS THE CYCLE TO CONTINUE
